here's a graph or 2006 thru 2009 EPS estimates---
I started with 2006 and compared that year to 2007,then 2008, then 2009 --
to get a rough Idea--as to how deep Bank declines
will cut into SPY Q4 and Q1 eps earnings---
So far EPS for the other sectors ( 80% of the S & P 500) are coming in at 8.8% growth---for Q4
and for the banking industry i'll roughly estimate (20% losses)
